As the former head of the physiotherapy department at the 'Thoraxklinik – Heidelberg', University Hospital, Germany, I moved together with my husband to the UK at the end of 1989. After working for one year on the orthopaedic wards at Bedford Hospital, I set up as a single practitioner in independent practice. Ouse Valley Physiotherapy Practice was established in the rural village of Sharnbrook in North-Bedfordshire in 1991.
Over the years I have provided occupational health physiotherapy services to Unilever Research’s employees at Colworth House in Sharnbrook, for line workers at IBC Vehicles in Luton and for Amazon Associates at Marston Gate Distribution Centre, Bedfordshire. Since 2012 I am holding a G4S contract (Home Office) for MSK physiotherapy services in Bedfordshire. Between June 2015 and September 2016, I have been involved in piloting MSK GP Physiotherapy services for 2 GP practices in Peterborough.
The practice offers a clinic room, domiciliary visits, courses, contractual and locum service for the local villages in North-Bedfordshire including Rushden, Bedford, Wellingborough, St Neots and Olney.
I am a member of 'The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy', 'Health & Care Professions Council' (HCPC), 'Physio First' and 'The McKenzie Institute UK'.
